Year 4 Sportshall

On Monday 16th January, Year 4 had the opportunity to attend the Hertford & Ware Sportshall Festival at Wodson Park. This event gives all the children an opportunity to participate in a number of different sporting activities without the pressure of being a competitive event. All of the children had a wonderful time and enjoyed the experience and Mrs Bond gave the children the chance to reflect about the event which resulted in some very positive comments. Here are just a few of them:

We did long jump and balance beam but my favourite was speed stacking because I came first in the class. I did it in 6.15 seconds. (Richie Rose)

My favourite part was the obstacle race because there were tunnels. (Kihanna)

My favourite activity was the obstacle race because it was the most challenging. The javelin was really hard because when we went all the way back, no one could hardly hit it. (Paddy)

My favourite part of the sportshall festival was the running at the end and the speed stacking. (Praise)

When we went to the sportshall I liked the obstacle race because it's fun to compete but it's only about taking part. (Tiffany)

We did speed stacking and javelin and lots of running. I hurt my leg a couple of times but I had lots and lots of fun. I'm glad that I took part and well done to all. (Frankie)
