Love Learning. Aim High. Trust God.
On Wednesday the Year 4 Electricity and Engineering Club visited St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School to compete in an inter-schools competition based on the story 'The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch' by Ronda and David Armitage.
Arta, Emily A, Emily H, Ronnie, Hendrix and Ashley had designed, created and improved a pulley system to transport Mr. Grinling's lunch to the lighthouse. They had also created a working seagull alarm and light!
The club presented their model to a panel of judges and 5 other primary schools. They also took part in lots of interesting electricity based activities; well done to Zoey for making the Faraday battery work and to Ashley on creating a moving toothbrush creature!
The children came fourth and should be very proud of their fantastic achievement.
Well done!
They also had a fantastic day so thank you to Governor Chris for accompanying us!
