Love Learning. Aim High. Trust God.
On Friday 16th March, eight boys from year 5 and year 6 took part in a round robin football competition. There were nine schools in total and our team would play eight games.
Our first game showed that the team were nervous but they soon settled into their stride and won the game 3-0. This result lifted the boys and the following two games ended with comfortable wins. In the fourth match the team came up against a Bayford side that were looking very sharp and energetic where we were now looking a bit tired after four back to back games. A very close game followed ending in a 2-2 draw. This was followed by the teams only loss against an all conquering Hunsdon side where they lost 3-0.
Game number 6 brought Hertford St Andrew back to winning ways and they managed to continue this run through the final two matches. Overall, the team played 8, winning 6, drawing 1 and losing 1. An excellent performance from the boys which ended in the team receiving silver medals for achieving an overall second place. Very well deserved and well done to all the team.
