Not even a flurry of snow could stop us heading to play and explore in Panshanger Woods this morning as part of our termly outdoor learning day!
This morning, Reverend Alan led our Easter Worship and we were delighted that our chair and vice-chair of governors were able to join us.
Today the children and staff of Hertford St Andrew are dressed in red to raise money for Comic Relief: Red Nose Day!
Exploring the world of work!
Little City visted us today to give our Early Years and Key Stage 1 children the opportunity to role play in a variety of different jobs. As you can see they had a brilliant time!
Today children from Oak and Elm class competed alongside 80 other teams in the Year 5 mathematics challenge. Congratulations to Freya, Shadman, Junior, Jasmine, Andrew, Selin, Ryana and Nathan for excellent collaborative skills to answer tricky questions in a time limit!
Finally, after a long wait, the school is now having some essential works done to improve the hot water and heating throughout the whole school. As you can see in the pictures below, this is a major construction project, which goes through the school day. I want to commend the fantastic staff for being so flexible and the pupils for their adaptability, having to move out of classrooms and into the hall for parts of the week as the work is carried out. Despite the disruptions, we have still managed to squeeze into a small section of the hall for our collective worship!
We had a great day learning a whole range of circus skills from circus performer, Glyn, who showed us how to juggle, balance peacock feather and how to move on a unicycle!
