  This morning, the whole school turned out to take part in Hertford St Andrew's sports day.  Supported by an enthusiastic audience of family and friends, the children competed, throughout the morning, for their house teams in a variety of field and track events.  After an exciting couple of hours of competition, the final race was run and all the points were totted up.  After a tense wait, Mr Jones announced the winning team - Arran.

  Well done to all of our children for taking part with such enthusiasm and good spirit and congratulations to Arran for their victory.

   

  Following the Sports Day celebrations, parents, friends and family all came together to enjoy a picnic on the field in the sunshine.  It was a perfect end to a super morning.

  A hearty thank you to everyone who came to help run events,  to support, to cheer, to play football, to sunbathe, to eat, to drink and to be merry.

• District Athletics

  Yesterday afternoon saw an  energetic group of 40 Hertford St Andrew's athletes, attend the annual District Athletics Competition at Wodson Park.  The competition kicked off with the field events of javelin, standing long jump and shot put and ended with the excitement of the relay races.  Everyone put in 100% effort and demonstrated the spirit of the games:  respect, determination, passion, self-belief, honesty and teamwork.
