  • Thrilling 5-3 victory for our unbeaten football team!

    Fri 26 Oct 2018
After two hard-fought games against tough opponents, HSA football team enjoyed a relatively easier victory against decent opposition who were no match for the silky skills and fine finishing of our players. A hat trick from our star player Erik and a fine brace for our domineering captain Bradley meant that Ponsbourne's consolation goal to make it 5-3 was not much of a worry. Excellent midfield play from Millie and Jason as well as solid defending from Harry, Paddy and Evan meant that Joey had little work to do all game but he still pulled off some fine saves. Onwards to our next victory!

    Defibrillator Fundraising

On Thursday 25th October the whole school participated in a fundraising event to buy a defibrillator for the school. As you can see, the children enjoyed jumping, curling, throwing and being active for a good cause!

Many thanks to the School Council for helping to set up the sports activities and creating posters to advertise the event.

  • 1-1 Draw in a hard-fought football match against Thunbridge School!

    Sun 14 Oct 2018
In a physically tough game against strong opponents, our team were unlucky not to have won despite being away from home. After a stunning goal from Erik, which put us 1-0 up in the first half, our goalkeeper Joey pulled off several magnificent saves to stop Thunbridge equalising. However, with only a few minutes to go, one of their players broke through our defence and scored a goal, making it 1-1. In the dying seconds of the match, it looked like Erik was going to snatch victory for us with a skilful run past 3 of their players but their goalie blocked his shot and the game ended in a draw. Well done to the HSA team for continuing their unbeaten run of games!
  • Football Victory for HSA!

    Tue 09 Oct 2018
Hertford St Andrew won an impressive 5-4 victory in a hard fought match against Little Munden. After going 2-0 down, our players showed impressive determination and team spirit to fight back and ultimately snatch victory from their opposition. Goals from Erik, Jason and Harvey meant that we were drawing at 4-4 with a couple of minutes to go. Luckily, Millie's last minute super-strike from an impossibly tight angle gave us the edge we needed. A great start to the football season for our victorious team!
  • Harvest Festival 2018

    Thu 04 Oct 2018
This morning we gathered together for our annual Harvest Festival. We welcomed parents and carers for the special worship which was led by Reverend Alan Stewart. A huge thanks to everyone who brought in items this week. Through your generosity we are able to offer a fantastic donation to The Haven homeless shelter in Stevenage who will be very grateful for our help. The children contributed thoughtful and heartfelt poems and prayers whilst Reverend Alan involved the children in a 'bread Olympics' with a French stick javelin, a bread roll shot putt and a flatbread discus. Luckily Mr Chapman managed to catch them and we were all invited to think about how bread and food are all vital to people who are not as fortunate as us.
