We aim for our Creative Arts curriculum to be inclusive of each child and empower them to build their creativity, confidence and perseverance in their school lives and beyond.
The children explore many pieces of artwork and use them to inspire their own creations. They explore their creativity by exposing them to a diverse selection of art types throughout their time in school. They practise drawing skills every day in 10 for 10.
They develop their skills in a range of media in art, craft and design. From clay to textiles to sculpture, children have many opportunities to develop as an artist.
They develop their ability to think critically about the work of others and of their own creations and develop their evaluation skills. The children also develop an understanding of the historical and cultural elements of art.
Children learn Drama across the curriculum. They learn to use Drama as a way to express themselves, solve problems and think creatively. In 10 for 10, children engage in drama activities that build their skills.
Children have plenty of chances to perform in front of an audience, including in our Nativity Play, Passion Play and End of Year Production.
Children learn dance skills in PE and have opportunities to perform in school plays and productions.
