We aim for our Creative Arts curriculum to be inclusive of each child and empower them to build their creativity, confidence and perseverance in their school lives and beyond.

Art and Design

The children will explore many pieces of artwork and use them to inspire their own creations. They will explore their creativity by exposing them to a diverse selection of art types throughout their time in school.

They will develop their skills in a range of media in art, craft and design. From clay to textiles to sculpture, children will have many opportunities to develop as an artist.

They will develop their ability to think critically about the work of others and of their own creations and develop their evaluation skills. The children will also develop an understanding of the historical and cultural elements of art.

Drama

Children will learn Drama across the curriculum. They will learn to use Drama as a way to express themselves, solve problems and think creatively.

Children will have plenty of chances to perform in front of an audience, including in our Nativity Play, Passion Play and End of Year Production.

Dance

Children learn dance skills in PE and have opportunities to perform in school plays and productions.
