Planetarium Visit!

Today the children were amazed to discover a planetarium had arrived in the hall! Mark from Bayfordbury then delivered exciting space expeditions for each year group. Year 2 were particularly amazed by their mission to Mars and around the planets in our Solar System.

Year 5 and Year 6 also met Chris, who shared with them a workshop on particles. Luke and Steven in Year 5 can explain what happened:

"Chris spoke about particles and played a game called 'Happy Families' with all the particles.

We made models of what we thought a particle looked like and how it behaved. We then showed these to the rest of the class and looked at the models they had made. To make the particles we could use googley eyes, baubles, pipe cleaners, pens, paper clips and glue.

We made models of electodes."
